So I’m going to try writing in series. Like the pervious “Shawnee’s guide to getting the ladies.” Now I am starting a “You know what I hate?!” series since I seem to start so many entries with that sentence. Enjoy loveys…
So… You know what I hate?! People who think they are funny because they are in the presence of a funny person.
See I’m a goof. Pure goof! I am full of sarcasm, rarely serious, a prankster, and a joker. That’s just me. I blame my parents… Most people don’t know this until they really get to know me because I can be so damned shy but yeah… it’s over the top.
So I’ve noticed something… There are people who are very unfunny and you see them around their friends or just talk to them and you know they don’t have a sense of humor AT ALL! Then… I act like a goof around one of these people and they try so hard to be silly or sarcastic and it fails so miserably. This is not what gets my pickle…
What bugs me is when they get offended when you don’t laugh at them! They say something like “Obviously you have no sense of humor” or just get all pissy!
Get over it unfunny people!!! You’re not funny and you never will be! Just accept that you are dryer than toast and embrace it! You don’t have to be funny or like me! Stop trying! This conversation should NEVER happen:
Doug: Hey Shawnee you must REALLY like pink.
Me (in a mocking voice): Nope. Worse. Color. Ever.
Doug: I thought you loved it…
Me: I was joking…
Doug: So was I.
No you weren’t Doug! You were just being dumb! Stop being dumb Doug! Nobody likes a dumb Doug! (Doug is a fictional character)
Do other funny people out there have the same thing happen to them?
